Aut is the company that made it; thus it is the brand name

hmmm I've been considering replacing my comptech intake. Only cause I heard how much work went into designing the OEM. What kind of gains do you feel with this cooling plate, and does it sound really good? The comptech sounds great, but I feel that Honda put a little more R&D into their intake then comptech, and its probably better for the engine.

I loved the look of the PWJDM Intake in my bay, yet did not think it was worth the $1,300, so I sold that and went back to my Fujita....Just got the comptech because I hear it has nice throttle response and looks nice!

So thinking the AUT may direct a tad more air right over the icebox I went with that. A little piece of the AUT hits the icebox....yet I am wondering if I trim the AUT with a drimmel would the endges be hairy and not smooth because of the CF or could I get it smooth.

Mainly I am wondering if anyone has used a drimmel to trim off a bit on Carbon Fiber. If the edges will fray and look all jagged I will just sell the AUT Cooling Plate, but if it could come out smooth then I think the two pieces will look and work well together.

From a fellow Louisville (now in Jacksonville, FL) owner:
I trimmed my AUT cooling plate slightly, maybe 1/4 of an inch in two places around the hood latch. I did it with a smooth sander on my dremel, and it did not fray or look jagged at all (maybe one loose strand to cut). Just do it slowly with a mild sander. And be careful your hand doesn't slip, or you could scratch the surface.

Florida is cool, but Louisville is too. Having a place in both would be nice!

Good look with the trimming.

Trimmed it all out today and installed the intake! Looks great IMO. I miss the sound of my Fujita Intake though!'
