LFA vs. GTR
I don't think you can really compare these two cars on a "Which would I rather buy" basis. These cars are being marketed for two totally different buyers. One is $400K while the other is $80K. LFA has the fit and finish of an exotic while the GTR is performance minded but affordable. Performance can be brought up but the GTR and ZR-1 perform on par with many exotics. An LFA buyer is not getting it because it is the fastest car out there.
Honestly if someone offered to give you an LFA or a GTR no questions asked. Would you get the LFA just because it is worth more? I know I would. You could always turn around, sell it, and buy a GTR while still having $300K to pocket.

I think in its own right, the GTR is a work of art...amazing what Nissan could make it do for the money. Just imagine if it was a lighter lower body like the LFA, they would probably be equal in terms of performance.
But I agree:
- They both serve different markets
- 1/4 mile test is lame

If I had $400,000 to blow on a car, the LFA wouldn't even cross my mind. So many better cars in that price range...
Edit:
Since motor trend wanted a drag race, they should have raced this against a Corvette ZR1... With its 1/4 mile time at 11.2sec (Motor trend figure) it would RAPE an LFA.
10 years to produce a car that gets raped by a corvette and is $290,000 more... Good Job Toyota

the look of the toyota. Looks more like an exotic.
