Everything Dave said is 100% true and I did almost the exact same thing - ran power from the same place etc. I even grounded mine in the same place as Dave . Everything does in fact show on the screen if it isn't clean - so clean it well Mine is hooked to the brake and like I said when you hit the brake the red is such a perfect match it almost looks like it belongs there - truly one of the best features on this. Now that I am home from my vacation I will take a few more pics and post them later tonight

Heres a few pics of the brake light hookup.

The Drivers sill. Pop this panel off to get at the brake wire. The connections are about where I have circled in red.

The Bundle of wires running under the drivers sill. You'll be locating a white wire with a black stripe and silver spots

The Wire you want to splice. The shot below is of the wire at the brake pedal. The correct wire is circled in red (White with a black stripe and Silver Spots). You're looking for the same wire color combo in the bundle above.

A shot of the wire from the sill. Its towards the bottom of the bundle in the middle somewhere. You cannot see the silver spots here, however they will be there

Hope this helps with the toughest hookup to make in this mod.

AustinS2k2003, that looks great. I've been wanting to get this mod, but can't find out where to get the S2K etching. How did you get yours done?

Thanks

Does the light makes it more difficult to see in the rear at night time?

I think the answer to that is all about your height, where you have something etched in your windscreen, and how large that etching actually is. I have a LOT going on with my windscreen...but the "main visible area" through my rearview mirror is not cluttered with any etching. With that...visibility is good

However...I will say that when looking over my right shoulder...top down...LEDs lit in screen...as though I'm planning to merge over into the lane to my right. I find the "words" right there in my face a little distracting. Just gotta learn to "look through them" ...(its just new right now). But it is something to be aware of.
