My CR

Guess none of these guys know the frame gusseting plays the largest role in the CR handling over their standard models...
I'm sure they'll read about it someday.

The question really comes down to which suspension you "upgraded" to. Hell the stock CR on the stock suspension owned the laptime (same driver) of even the S2K with the Motons...... given there was something significantly wrong with the frame on that car, but you do have to go pretty high end (and dial it in well) to beat out the stock CR suspension. In fact, the CR turned a faster time than every S2000 they tested (Buddy Club, TEIN, Moton, Ohlins, and Spoon if my memory serves) except for the Spoon which was far more modified than the other contenders.
No reason you can't just drop your car for looks (although some may question you buying the CR just for looks.... your car your choices), but lets not gild the lily here.
I hate quoting from magainzes for obvious reasons, so I wasn't going to mention it until you made a crack about "reading" about the gusseting someday. I'd love to see some pics of this "gusseting" by the way if you get a chance (above and beyond the glorified STB where the soft top used to be)

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Hold the phone. You bought lowering springs similar to the same rate as the stock springs? Isn't that like rule one of stupid car tuning? Let me explain to you why I deserve your car more than you do.
You're spring rates (stock) are designed to match the amount of shock travel/dampening Showa/Honda built your shocks for. Therefore, you'd have to go a gradual amount stiffer with lowering springs (which I would never ever suggest on an S2000 if you're worried about performance) to stop the shocks from bottoming out/bumpsteering since you've reduced the amount of travel by however much the springs lower the car (1"+ is my guess.)
Seems like you have similar / same spring rates with a reduced amount of travel which means your future thread of "I wrecked my S2000 CR" is because your modifications induce bumpsteer/ "snap oversteer as this board claims the car pre MY04 is plagued with."
Do the right thing, sell the Espelirs, buy some Motons CS's, Tein SRC's, KW Comps, Ohlins, ASM Sachs, etc. You spent $38K on a car, don't ruin it with $300 springs.
I so wish I could afford your car!
