This may be a dumb question... but does wire tucking affect weight distribution at all?
Well, yes, it does affect weight distribution, but probably so little it's not worth mentionning.
Kind like the difference between putting you CDs in the glove box or on the passenger seat.
Some wires are lengthened, others cut shorter.
In our case we also moved the cruise control, and ABS closer to the firewall and lower on the chassis. The battery was moved to the back, but it's a mini-battery.

*UPDATE*
The car is currently at the body shop for the finishing touches on the shave and then will paint it all.
Here's a few pics of the heater and A/C lines that were tucked in the process:
The two cores removed (no dash! )
The heater lines are fairly simple to work with. The hardlines are crimped into place and are sealed by an o-ring.
The A/C lines are converted mostly to tainless braided hsoes with AN fittings. A few fitting adapters welded:
The firewall was kicked out and made more uniform with the rest. The also allowed more space for the AN fittings for the A/C. Clearance isn't a problem AT all now, didn't even need low profile fittings!

Your car also got featured in a show called "ligue de garage"!
it was also recently appeared in a recent MusiquePlus (French Much Music) top 5 video clip. Kamazaki - "Pars mon engin". YouTube link
