[QUOTE=crockey,Dec 10 2006, 10:32 AM]The big block is out of my price range, and from what I read/hear.......harder to maintain.

I think it will be a fun car to drive
good luck on that one, 40 year old cars are not fun to drive

my first two cars were a 66 mustang coupe and then a 64 1/2 mustang coupe (this was the late 90s)

getting a modern car was the best decision I ever made.

If you like to drive you don't want a classic

Love it. Two ways you can go with it. Classic restoration, or hotrod (big engine, posh interior, big wheels, lowered with a "Z" frame, etc).....

I like hotrod mode, but if it were my car, Im all for a classic resto. Strip it, rebuild it from scratch and keep it stock looking. Dont know about other people, but I LOVE classic American cars, especially the 442, Mercury Coupe, and the 57 Bel Air. When I can spend the time and money to do a full resto, I am definetely getting one.

Very nice example of one.
