Your car is very nice. You didn't buy Tenzo wheels, You bought volks
Please make the same choice in wing too. Go with J's or Veilsides. R1 wing don't belong on s2's.

J's wing? Sure! If you are willing to give me the money to buy a J's wing, I'll happily put it on my car. Unfortunately, my wallet is not that healthy.
I don't like the Veilside wing at all, so it's a non-consideration.
I'm curious.... what's the big deal with name-brand products anyway???? Please show me the difference between the J's and the R1 that I have? The mounts are the same, the uprights are almost identical (and both aluminum), the end plates are virtually identical and I bet the J's wing is made out of extruded aluminum...just like the R1. So, my question to you is....other than the name associated with J's, can you show me a significant difference that would make me justify spending an additional $350.00? If the J's center is carbon fiber, then that would justify some extra $, but I don't need carbon fiber on my wing. Aluminum will do just fine thanks.
Have a look and compare the J's with the R1. If you didn't have the pictures of the R1 and J's side by side, you likely wouldn't know the difference. Even togetherm they are very similar. Looking at these photo's could you identify which was was which, or are they both J's racing wings?

R1 do make some dicky looking wings, but the one I chose is almost identical to the J's..and that's why I bought it.
Maybe some people are fanatical with name brands and also have a wad of cash to burn, but some of us either don't have, or can't justify spending stupid money just to buy a 'name'.
The function of the R1 and J's are the same - they serve the same purpose, so why do I need to throw money away on a part that likely isn't really performance or quality wise any better than what I have? In fact, it's possible the famed J's wing isn't even made by J's....just like the Spoon springs are made by KG/MM, the wing couldbe made under contract by another company....maybe even R1/Hiper? Wouldn't THAT be a crackup!
And what about my Fiber Images hood.....is that good enough for you? If so, why? I mean, that company doesn't have the name associated with J's....their hood is manufactured in the cheaper end of the spectrum. They're not even a Japanese company, so I guess that they can't be nearly as good!
What I am trying to say is that I think some people are too miffed by image. Yes, J's is a great company that has designed and produced some nice products, but don't forget that they are just a really small 'backyard' garage-based business. They would be no different to a small company making S2000 products here in the 'states....say, like Mark DiGrappa. Mingster or Rick Hesel for example. It's just that J's are on the other side of the ocean.
I've always bought product based on it's quality, not it's name or where it's made. I understand that Tenzo wheels are not the same quality as Volk (your argument there is perfectly sound), but the R1 wing is a very well manufactured product with excellent fit and finish. I can live without the J's name to have $350 large in my pocket.
I'm sorry, but I don't buy the argument that some parts aren't 'good enough' for the S2000 just because they don't have a 'name'. You put on what you can afford, and justify. Period.

Thanks for the tip! I am very careful where I park my car...usually it is garaged most of the time. If I go anywhere questionable, I take my wife's Cougar.
Still, you can never be too careful!

Sime, i have a question. did you have any rubbing issues with the kg/mm springs and your wheel and tire combo, i have the exact same setup except for the front which are 225/35. also are you going to get that neg. camber fixed, cause i have the same wicked camber, and i think its not to good for wear on the tires. nice car again n again n again.

Thanks!
So far, I haven't experienced any rubbing issues from what I can tell. Are you talking about rubbng with the front or rear?
I haven't had an alignment yet, but I do want to get rid of that serious rear neg camber, so I'm going to get an alignment soon! My rear tires are already starting to wear and I've only got ~1500 miles on them!
How are the 225/35's holding out? Are they ok on bumps/potholes?
