even if it were only a reskin i assure you thats it is perfectly within the bodyshops rights to only reskin. as long as the intrusion beam is not damaged and the shell is intact a reskin is what every body shop will do. that is the entire point of a door skin. why make a removable easily replacable part if it were not meant to be done??
I know a lot of people calling for you to get a lawyer and sue the S*@t out of the dealership for a new car, but the fact of the matter is in reality you will not get a new car. You will get the car repaired or a car of similar quality and price if it was totaled. I do believe that you might be entitled to a loss of the resale value of the car though so you should be able to sue for that. I would do some research to see if you can find out what that loss would be if you were to sell now. The other thing you could look into is the dealership giving you what you paid for your car towards a brand spanking new one purchased at their cost and let them eat the depreciation due to their negligence. If it was me, that's what I would look into. I wish you the best. Good luck.

i cant believe your not getting a new car out of this. you sould of got the lawyer right away!!!!!!!! but i guess theres a sucker born every minute & they just suckerd you out of a new car my friend
ok so i asked my lawyer & he said you can sue for what the car is worth & expenses like renting a car...he also said that calling your insurance company would of slowed or halted the dealerships actions ......He went into a bunch of other variables but unless your car is pretty much new you wont get a new one
That sucks that they are giving you such a hard time with this. They should be working on keeping you happy.
Anyways, in the pics it's kinda weird that they have weld thru primer on the outside of the rocker. Really, you only needed it in between the 2 panels. Hopefully, they do have it in between and not just trying to make it look pretty for the pics. Then it doesn't seem like they don't have any on the rear of the 1/4. I can't really tell if they have any other kind of weld thru on it. Anyways, just wanna give you an heads up on that. You might wanna make sure that it is done on your car. Corrosion protection is really big must in autobody repair. Hopefully, everything turn out ok for ya. Good luck...

All I can say is that you're settling for less than you could have. They screwed your car up, they sent it to a bodyshop of their choice, and based on your posts it sounds like they started working on it without your permission.
You're being WAY too laid back about this, it seems. You are literally getting screwed because you're not pinning the dealership down on things.
Since you have a daily driver and don't need the S2000 right now, I would have told them not to do a THING until you had come to a final, signed agreement on what was going to happen in terms of making repairs to your car and reparation to your wallet.
