I took delivery today of a new 2012 Si Sedan, and I have to say I am pretty stoked because I have never owned a brand new car. This is my sixth Honda overall and replaces a 2005 Civic 'value coupe' as my daily driver. It had nothing as far as options other than A/C and a CD player. No power anything, no cruise.

But believe it or not, even with a S2000 in my garage, that 2005 coupe was the best Honda I have owned. ZERO issues in 72K miles I put on the car, and I started with the car at 50K.

Honda was thrown so much negative feedback about the looks of this model year, but I just don't get it. Looks great, especially in a sedan. So this will be my new DD, and I look forward to having a fun car to drive every day again.

Can't argue that! She is a garage queen, and I am afraid as enjoyable as this Civic Si is to drive... the S2000 will now see even fewer miles.
I am with you G S2000. From what I read, so many people made a stink about the 2012 Civic that the 2013s going on sale next month are allegedly a complete 180.

Let's be honest here, Honda fans. The only two TRULY pretty cars Honda has ever made were the S2000 and NSX. Maybe the Integra. But that's it. Everything else is average at best. So I guess I don't know where the expectations and letdown came from.

That was on my list. However, the wifey is most likely getting rid of her 2007 TSX next year for a SUV - and I did not want two SUVs.

It's dark green, I wanted black but you don't have much say when buying used.

 

True. I wanted to get black. But I only have two garage spots (wife's TSX and my S2000 occupy them), so the easiest color to keep clean was chosen. Plus, white is MAD JDMZ YO!!!

 

LOL! Do you have any plans to mod it?

 

Nah. I am going to throw on a clear bra and red Honda badges, but that's really it. Any serious money for modifications needs to be thrown at my S2000.
