OMG not an S2000!? Blasphemy!
I drove my friend's girlfriend's Z4 (3.0), and while it is a nice car (I wouldnt mind it as a weekend car to drive to New England for a bit....it felt a bit more disconnected than the s2k. Still a great car for what it is. As a cruiser, its better than the s2k, as a sportscar, its a bit on the softer side...love the torque of the line though....

I own an E36 M3 on a coilover setup, and I think the Z4 in stock form will run circles around my M3. It's extremely well balanced and feels so planted through turns, it's really impressive. I havent had a shot at the Z4 at the track yet, but from some of the spirited canyon driving I've done in it... I feel more confident in that car than the M3. I wouldn't be surprised to find that it is the most capable platform BMW has ever developed.
