I am going to try to make an informational document on how to do this tonight. I also want to take some pictures of the change. I will let you know when they are completed. Thanks for the compasion. Luckly, a local Honda dealer had a tail light in stock for me to complete the job yesterday.

looks good on the silverstone, not sure whether it would work on the red though ... (IMHO)

I think it would look good on red, but you would definately have to get rid of the amber side blinkers. The other option would be to leave in the amber on red and just do the paint. I am working on directions now for those who are interested. I am probably going to have to make this a MS Word 2000 doc to get it all to fit.
I will probably post it for download from my site.

Here's my slight variation on the "Dewain Mod"... body-color inside but clear defuser lense (I don't like the open bulb sticking out look):
