Painted headlight housings?
Hey guys, if you want to see my pictures of before and after of my Silverstone headlights then you can go to www.dewain.com/S2000. I am talking with a friend about doing the tail lights this weekend. If I get a chance to do them I will take more pictures and post them on my website. Thanks for the honorable mention S2K Dude and for the kind words. If anyone in the Atlanta-Metro area wants to either see them in person or get it done yourself, I can get you a deal.
Dewain,
Looks great! I just finished painting my black inserts and have to disassemble my extra housings and swap the inserts. The only difference (I am not sure how mine will look) is I have the clear turn signal diffuser/lense from a pair of Euro-housings...
We shall see!
Please post pics of your rear (if you get them done) ASAP! Please

Let me rephrase please: please post pictures of your painted S2000 tail light housings.
Not as funny, correct?

It seams that the rear light housings are MUCH more difficult to open... than the fronts. I have opened 8 sets of front housings and when I tried the rears I cracked it! Damn!
Be careful!

Shaner,
I agree, taking the tail light assembly apart is much more dificult to do and I cracked the second one when I pulled mine off. I did, however complete the task of painting the housing and putting them back on the car. I will be taking pictures today or tomorrow and will post them as soon as possible. My wife says that she likes it much better. Oh, to all those who want this done, make sure that you don't have a problem spending at least $250 for a new tail light. More than likely you will be buying one, so make sure that you want to do this to. I have also opened 6 sets of headlights and haven't cracked any of those. The rear plastic cover is not as tough as the front plastic covers.

Later,
Dewain,
Thanks for the reply!! So I am not the only one who broke one
I have another housing coming in 2 days... cutting it close to Fall Colors Meet.
Any hints on how you opened one successfully?
Thanks again!
