Painted headlight housings?
Are those clear defuser lenses from the Japanese or European version of the S2k? It might just be the picture but I don't like it that much. It looks like the lenses are already starting to yellow/mildew like old Maximas, 1990 Ford Mustangs, and any old minivan.
It just might be the pic though. Do you have any more images from different angles? Anyways, I think the painted lights are pretty cool. Was it hard to match the color?
Thanks in advance for the reply,
Phi

The housings are genuine 100% European Honda housings... 6 months old. They are perfectly white/clear... it was an overcast day.
As for the paint: went to an auto paint/body supply shop and looked up the PPG paint code in a book. The machine made an exact paint match for 2000 Silverstone. I primed the plastic with adhesion promoter, painted it with silver, and then clear coated it...
I hope I can get my rear housings like Dewains... I have to be more careful, I cracked my first housing (just like Dewain did).

Dewain,
I made a mess of the rears... when reassembling them, the black thermoplastic adhesive on the clear cover rubbed against the painted inside of the black housing and knocked off a lot of paint. Plus, they leak BIG time. I was in a hurry to make it to the Fall Colors Meet so I left them messed up.
Did you notice that you can now see a lot of the black adhesive? It is moved far from the seal of the clear and the black out to the more noticable clear outside.
What I will do is take them apart again, remove all adhesive, repaint, and then apply fresh adhesive only on the black housing.
Other than that, they're great... NOT
People at Fall Colors REALLY liked the fronts though... and the SCed engine... and the big Navigation Stereo... and...

I'm putting my car away for the winter... garage... jack stands... cover...
So, I think I will work on my rear housings SLOWLY over the winter. This way I will get a small S2000 fix by touching it's parts...
