Now I'm sure everyone's seen these before but I thought I'd put em all in one post. I have to admit, I run slips on my hatch because that thing's my beater. I could care less about what wheels are on it. But my S is worth a lot more to me so I would never think of putting junk on it with the possibility of this... (Oh and I know other wheel companies have their occasional problems too, but not as much as these guys.)

i actually bought rotas for my car and sold them before i put them on and got rays. just simply say the wheels have a possibility of bending easier or something, stop trying to act so cool and attack every1 who mentions rotas. sheesh we drive a honda s2000 not a lambo

i don't have any problems with folks that want to save money on rims or any aftermarket part for that matter. everyone wants to save as much $$$ as possible for any given deal. I just don't like it when people buy knock-offs of authentic products because they are in fact not supporting the businesses that came up with the design in the first place.
So yeah, you save money but it's a fake. would you buy a fake S2000? yeah i know there isn't a fake S2000 but if there was one, would you get it? it's a matter of principles folks. i guess some folks don't have any...
who ever said that the SSR SP1's are not the real thing can stick his head on his own ass.
i can't believe how authertic shops can let this go on without any repercussions. i suppose they're partly to blame for it...
To the OP: while i agree that it's your car and you should do whatever you see fit, i don't agree with most who support the Rotas.
summary:
buy inexpensive stuff to save $$$
buy knock-offs

besides the "like/dislike rota" I would definitely go for those wheels. I had rota as a sponsor with the sti i previously owned and i cant complain about them. I took the rota formula mesh to sebring for 3 events and nothing ever went wrong with them. Also, a guy had the D2's on his wrx and it looked really good. continuing the idea, they were gold! Good luck with your purchase if you decide to get them.
