As the Director for Team BRIDGESTONE (yes, the official team of Bridgestone Tires), otherwise known as R-Squadron here in Toronto, Canada, I feel the need to state MY opinion and take on this thread.

The grand prix white 05 belongs to my girlfriend. The car is HERS, and the mods were done by HER.

The car's pickup was delayed by 1 month due to delivery issues at Honda for some reason, and was put together in the last few weeks.

She had ordered this car last year over 6 months ago and had began ordering parts for it ever since.

We are still awaiting a number of performance parts for the vehicle, and I have to say that some of you guys are just plain MEAN.

This is an enthusiasts board, not a "pick on everyone's car board".

To "Xplosiv", I've seen your car before, and it looks good, but your attitude sucks, and you have had it for much longer and had more time to work on it too.

Richard, I take it that you are one of these "O.G.'s" right? Dude, you need to shut your mouth up and stop the $h17 from coming out, and you might make some friends instead of just enemies out there.

Xplosiv Posted on May 25 2005, 07:56 AM
her bf runs an so called race team called R Squadron...the true O.Gs call them Rice Squadron, I will just leave it from there.

If you think that the "R" in "R-Squadron" means "RICE", then you better have the $h17 to back it up. Yes, your car is SOOOOOO original because you just put most of the MUGEN catalog on it huh? Whatevers.

Last time I checked, our 2003 S2k, plated as "F20C" could rock your car at the track any day of the week. For those who are curious out there, just read this mods list for an idea of what this car has:

2003 Honda S2000
- VORTECH SUPERCHARGER WITH AFTERCOOLER
- GREDDY EMANAGE - TUNED BY ULTIMATE RACING & DYNO'ED AT 306WHP
- TEIN TYPE RS SUSPENSION
- J'S RACING TYPE S CARBON FIBER AERO KIT
- RECARO SPG SEATS
- KOYO RADIATOR
- AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!!

If you have personal issues with individuals on our team, then you should confront them about it instead of bashing them on a board that they don't even go on. Thats pretty weak buddy.

JsAP1 , I know that you were only posting based on what you see, as you should know, she has a TODA 4-1 header on, with a J's Racing test pipe as well. Not a bad setup. I might not be an S2k owner, but I have built many Hondas myself, and I know that this setup is not considered weak. The wheels are the cast ones, not the forged ones. We are still waiting for her wheels. You know JDM parts take a while to get.

JsAP1 Posted on May 25 2005, 08:10 AM

I really didnt mean to bash the car but the parts arent really worthy of a SEMA car IMO. The whole point of SEMA is to display up and coming new parts and whats going to be out in the coming season. Right? Parts you can look forward to buying in the future.

But hey if the owner like the parts than all the more power to him/her. Its all about what the owner likes not what the rest of the world thinks or likes. This is an open forum and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Yes, she does like the parts that she decided to put on, and NO they were not just what the shop had in stock. She did her research and chose the parts based on what she liked. Period.

This car is a BRIDGESTONE corporately-sponsored vehicle, that will be completed for its first stage, sometime later on this year.

Honestly, I have built over 12 cars in the last 3 years and have had many of them featured on the front covers of the industry's top mags, and tons of features as well.

This car is only less than 1 month old and she was so excited to get it.

She did as much as she could to get the car ready for the SEMA IAS event and she just wanted to be a part of it, and wasn't there just to WIN. Is the word "FUN" no longer a part of this industry anymore?

I think its sad to see people (other S2k owners) tear up a car based on whats going down in Hawaii, and other parts of the world. I agree, the car is NOWHERE near complete, but we NEVER said it was either. I've been to Hawaii many times brah, and you guys definitely have some tight rides down there. This car is near brand new and will be worked on continuously for the awhile still.

Don't worry, we will post up pics when we have completed the first stage.

If you don't like the car, thats fine. But don't bash it until its done. Trust me, I really don't think you will be bashing this car again in the very near future.

I have been building cars since 97-98. I know what it takes to build a well-rounded car, that is strong both in the performance department and the aesthetic department too. But as we all are, I am also learning more about this industry, each and everyday and building new cars is a way of me learning more too.

Just my 2 cents....

If you want me to post pics of our cars, let me know, and I will.

Just don't like to get bashed if we didn't deserve it.

Thats all.

Don't HATE....

Why would you want your car to be judged on a display of new parts for the upcoming season? Thats why we have a HIN or HID or Import Showoff, etc. Am I missing something?

Like I said before, we work with Bridgestone Tires.

We have committments with them on having vehicles for DISPLAY purposes only.

We do not need to compete for a car show or any awards anymore.

We already have the support and respect of a major corporation and others too.

Many people see SEMA's IAS event as a new parts exhibition and it is, but for the booth vehicles ONLY.

For those in the car show, you are competing with others for trophies/awards, which we aren't really there for.

Bridgestone has a set tour for our vehicles and we were fulfilling that.

PERIOD.

We managed to take home BEST EURO and 3rd place in the Subaru class while we were at it. Icing on the cake.

AHHH, that explains a lot then. To bad I couldn't go this year then.

Hey rsquadron, can you clarify something for me. Are you the director for Team Bridgestone, in Toronto, in all of Canada, or everywhere?

Btw, 307whp on a tuned vortech supercharger really isn't anything to write home about. Do a search on this forum, that's pretty much stock vortech numbers.

But, good luck to you and your girl on your car, post pics along the way.

Dan, I believe they grouped the sponsored/booth vehicles together, but could be wrong. I know one of the Team Emotion guys got an award and all their cars were used by vendors.

Hey I am not bashing just stating my point of view. You said she did research. Then she should have known the ARC intake does her no good. OEM box would work better on the track or anywhere for that matter. IMO, thats a hot air intake. Thats all I see. I have never really liked (not really liked, more like never been interested in them) Tein especially since their parts are no longer made in Japan. Not like thats a bad thing. Too many Japan tuners that we met when I was out in Hawaii looked down at Tein in Japan as the APC of Japan. Thats no joke. It came straight from the Kei Office crew, Spoon crew, Orange Julius crew, and Signal Auto. But I am going by hearsay. So what do I know? I think they are great (the RS kit in general here). I like the RS kit. I would run it. They even bashed Mugen. But at that time they were having problems and the name was up in the air. Mtec was the big debate back then. Now its on some of their racecars.

I have been modding/tracking cars since 1991 (stripped integra, del sol, civic). I know a lot of people in this industry and my car has been featured in Super Street and Import Tuner and numerous websites and have been to track/drift/car shows over the past 15 years and have to tell you its changed. But you know that. I was just telling you from the looks of it, it looked pieced together. Not really a theme going. Thats all I was saying. I have a pre-wrapped Toda header. I agree thats a great part . I like the new J's exhaust but I followed my theme which was to go with the Toda dual. Looks similiar. Where was this car 4 years ago? Did she have all these parts back then? If not why not? We all did!
BTW I hope you know I am giving you a hard time.
