Here are my shots with a Canon A85. You can click on each pic for the original size. I admire some of the photography skills of people on this board

If you're going to get into photography, you might as well make this your home page for shopping: http://www.bhphotovideo.com

There are numerous attachments for putting a camera on the car - I use a Sticky Pod. It is a little more expensive, but can hold on above 100 MPH - most of the others are rated for 30-60 MPH. http://www.stickypod.com

As for cameras (high-def is a video camera ), I really think the best bang for the buck is the Sony DSC-F717 found on eBay for $400 or less. That was a $1,200 camera brand new. It gives you all the manual settings of a SLR so you can learn how to use them all, it has Nightshot which allows you to take pictures after everyone else is packed up (also doubles as an IR mode with the right filter), and it has automatic mode when you're feeling lazy........and it can record video - not high def

Megapixels and Zoom is not everything, and that is why plenty of older cameras still perform the same if not better than the newer ones.

I bought one new and have about 4,000 pix out of it now. I LOVE this camera.
