This intake is a good idea but it doesn't quite make power, my custom intake is based off the PRM filter, and it makes more power than the aem V2

The problem with the PRM is that it has NO heat shielding at all. So it just sucks all the hot air from behind the radiator.

Yes they are the only retailer.
Heatsoak does appear to be the main design flaw with this intake. But it's no different than OEM. The horn on the PRM pulls air from the passenger side headlight access point and from the gap beside the rad. Obviously a ztec like carbon heatshield helps a lot as well.

the sound from this intake is just unreal though. It screams through all revs and rumbles a bit at WOT

Totally false! Check this photo:

The velocity stack on the PRM is completely past the radiator opening. The PRM draws in cool air from the opening on the passenger side of the radiator. The closed hood helps direct cool air directly to the stack. The opening on the passenger side of the radiator is big enough that I can put my arm through and out the front.

If you check out the pic I previously posted, you can see heat shield between the engine and the PRM. The vent in my hood is also directly over the PRM canister, but not over the opening of the velocity stack.

I've experienced ZERO heat soak with my setup. Throttle response is always sharp!

the original filters of prm intakes lost power because they were too restrictive. The 2nd gen filters have the problem fixed and have shown considerable differences.

If you look on PRM's website, they sell intakes for many different cars. I find it hard to believe the "intake tube design is flawed" and they've been selling these successfully for 6+ years
