There is a guy on this forum with Black LMs from Florida, and to my knowledge he bought them that way. (Fyrestrike)
Not sure how I missed this thread but mine did not come from BBS in black. I bought them new in the silver color and disassembled/painted the centers myself. If you paint these, you'll need to check the torque on the bolts periodically because the bolt seat will be on paint rather than metal and it won't torque sufficiently the first few times.

The wheels make a groaning noise when some of the bolts are loose, it's pretty obvious and easy to correct. That being said, I've tracked mine numerous times and have driven them long distances to the dragon and other places and never had a problem...

I'll probably clean the holes out before I torque them down. What torque did you use? I'm curious as to what you did yours vs what BBS told me. I also met you at the Dragon, I was friends with Rashel.

I remember! As for torque... as hard as I could!

Have they ever settled in so you don't have to check them anymore?

I haven't checked them in about a year, it's really not that big of a deal. What torque did BBS tell you?

Suppose I should make an appearance in this thread

Yep, my car is gone. I'm driving an MDX in Minnesota for right now.

Yes, my LM's rubbed. They all will but it's not bad enough to be a real problem.

No, I would not have powder coated these myself. I like the silver.

I have no doubt that Jake will do a great job with the wheels. He knows more about color than most of us put together.
