there are some serious RC jets out there, some guy built a 1/4 scale f16. it is very impressive.

have a look at www.rcuniverse.com
there is everything from fun fly, to top scale planes,

btw the crash forum is fun

no not at all, standard planes have this set up on the TX (controller)

2 vertical stick either side of the tranny (Tx) like on shown below

the one on the left, if you puch it straight up or down , that is the throttle, and if you move that stick from side to side that is the planes rudder.

on the right stick, if you push vertically up or down, that is the elevator (thing that makes it go up and down) and push side to side that is the alierons, (the things that are on the wing that make it bank to on side or the other)

the switches on top and to controll the amount of movment of the control surfaces, the landing gear and anything that your plane is equipt with , like bomb bays etc...

trust me its pretty simple controls, its just hard getting the controls right some times

never really been a fan of the jets. I used to fly precision aerobatics(pattern) planes for a couple years. Won nationals once. It's fun just really expensive.
