MORE PICS PLEASE!! I think the cages look good regardless of the track mindset. Everyone is an enthusiast in their own way.

This is so dumb! I don't understand all the talk back and forth about the helmet with a cage! from all the pictures I see the bars on the side go no lower than where the side windows/top meet. Unless your huge you should have any problems, I'm 6ft and my head doesn't go that high.

Something I'm missing on

Here's a quick cell pic of my roll bar, notice its really impossible to hit your head. Its really bolted on there, i mean you need some one to put all they're weight just to be able to tighten the bolts behind the seats.

in the event of rollover, the windshield could collapse(abit of completely), i am not sure why the cusco cage has so many joints for a piece of saftety equipment

is the safety 21 FIA approved? if not what the point of having it?

The StaticXMotorsports bar is another option. It's SCCA-approved for AutoX and TT, and you get to retain your soft top.

idk what type of approval it has but after seeing that silver s2000 that flipped over a mountain at WTD and the driver walked away because of the safety21 rollbar I was convinced, plus Id imagine it would make the chasis stiffer in a side collsion.

i'm thinking about getting the whole cage. i hardly drive my car anyways so i dont care.

i'm not bought on the hitting your head on the cage, unless some people are driving in stilettos..

for me that's only half of the reason for rollbar/cage, some track already have new rule for convertible,if you don't have a proper bar you can't even be on the track.

there's miata flipped in the mt without anything and the driver came out unhurt, but i am not counting on "luck", in order to be FIA approved they go thru proven tests

enlighten me if i am wrong, what would a roll bar/hoo(not cage) do in a side hit?

The cusco "cage"'s frontal bar look very dangerously close to the left leg, i never sit in one but from the picture umm.... A proper cage will have much more clearance(at expense of interior trim) for the head and leg area
