I will say, there is a reason some of the upper end wheels are more money aside from the name. The forged wheels are much lighter. My Volks were quite a bit lighter than my new Rotas. But, since I'm not racing my car it was more an aesthetics thing for me. What I don't understand is paying a bunch of money for wheels made by companies like Work that aren't even forged.

Yet another Rota hater.
Really, what, exactly, is it that is wrong with Rotas? Are they unsafe? Are they made of inferior materials? Are their paints given to chipping? Are their spokes known to loosen? Do Rota rims retain water much like much more expensive I-Forged rims? What?! What is wrong with them?!!!
Thank you and
Nothing is wrong with Rota's quality (I dont think) but the problem that lies with rotas is that they directly (DIRECTLY) copy the popular designs and put it out in the market. In other words, they know that the wheels will sell because people will buy it for the look and not fork out as much money.

Whats the problem again? Directly copying other wheels design. Do not start telling me a bunch of companies copy other designs like the mesh designs. Granted there are a lot of wheels from a lot of companies that look alike, but what the difference is that other companies use the (ex. mesh design) as a base and they design their own style to it.

Now Rotas directly copy and make no attempts to hide it. What happened to creating your own product? If you're going to tell me this is fine, then I assume that you wear Nikke products or fake Louis Vuitton and that you do not crack down on Hyndai when they make Benz look alike cars.

This has nothing to do with your budget. You can spend money however you feel of course. But there is definately something wrong by supporting a company that makes their money off someone else's hard work.

I mean if you think about it, other companies have to gamble with new designs, while rotas just sit back and see if it's successful then they make duplicates. Not s saying you in particular, but this opens up doors for posers who buy them so it "looks" like they spent their money on VOlks. In other words (IMO) Rota is a poser company who thrive on posing name brand wheels (or in other words making copies 99% identical) of other wheels. No identity except for the fact that they are copy cat weenie tots.

That is whats wrong with Rota.

Keep in mind a lot of money goes into researching etc.

Granted that you necessary do not need lightweight forged wheels if you dont track, but dont you guys believe in only putting the best (or as best as you can) products on your baby? I mean I would rather leave the stockies on then buying some junk (not saying rota is junk).

I mean it's still a Honda, but you should still love your car.

Also Iforged can be thought as a "higher" Rota company lol. Whereas Rota copies volk, mugen, etc. Iforged directly copies HRE. At least now they're creating their own styles though and creating their own identity.
