There is such a misconception about Rotas that it makes me laugh and wonder why people don't use the internet to do research before commenting.

Fact - Rota has supplied OEM wheels for Mitsubishi-Chrysler, Ford, Datsun, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

So if these companies can trust Rota to make wheels for their cars, why can't they used on an S2000? I remember a little while ago somebody posted about their Work Emotion developing a crack, does that mean Work wheels all suck? I remember seeing pictures of SSR Comps cracking at an Autox, those that mean every SSR rim ever made is garbage?

I have 16x7 +45 front and 16x8 +48 rears. They line up just at the fender. It's not lowered, but I bought some springs to lower them a half inch. Not on yet though. I would imagine that anything over an inch would rub.
Well its not really about if it will rub when its lowered, its more about, if the wheels offsets are too far out, its going to rub everytime you take a corner.

So my real question here is will the rears rub with the 48 offset?

Someone who knows wheel chime in please.

16x8 +48 with a 245 series tire and about 1" drop should clear with no problems. Remember the Spoon guys run 16x8 +45.

imo...i see rotas on daily basis on civic, integs, etc....i just hate seeing them, if rota had their own designs and stop copying everything they see then it would be different. I've even seen stress cracks on a the spoon replicas on a couple of EK's in VA.

i just dont understand how people can buy a S2000 and buy a set of $400-500 set of rotas. i mean damn most of the time the tires cost more than the rotas do. I've never said that anybody's car looked like shit just cuz they have rotas...i respect everyone's taste.

also i remember a few members on HT tried to fit the SP1 replicas on S2000's....i think rota calls them D2s or something, but anyways at the time rota didnt have the correct offsets or widths for a S2000. not sure if they do now, someone correct me if im wrong.

different strokes for different folks...that is all.
Thanks for letting us know you have no idea what you are talking about.

Cus a lot of people automatically associate rotas for being POS wheels cus theyre into 'high dollar brand names', therefore they feel the need to criticize others in order to make they're wheel purchase more reasonable.

Plus i bet all the people that knock on rotas have never had any personal experience with it other than reading about it on the internet or hearing stories about it from others.

Honestly if i could afford Works, Volks, or SSR's or other 'fitting' wheels i would get that, but just because we all drive the same car does not mean we all share the same budget.

I just saw this on another forum and it looks SOOO badass
