The slipstreams are pretty light for cast --- lighter than stock at least.
wheelweights has them at 13.9lbs for 16x7
spoon 388 (forged obviously) 16x7 are listed at 11.9
and stock (01-03) enkie 16x7.5 rears are listed at 18.6
so they are a valid improvement...
(I like this thread)

you guys really don't understand a ****ing thing do you, the reason you will never get respect, which shouldn't be what you are after, but most of you assholes are, is because Rota blatently knocks off any wheel that is popular at the time, why if they are such a nice wheel company don't they do some ****ing R&D and make wheels are there own?
And the excuse that the S2000 isn't an expensive car is so irrelevent. that is not the point.

Let me guess, the owner of the car drive his/her can and suddenly the wheels snapped into multi-pieces?
does it sounds remotely real to you? looks like guy driving it ran over something, probably a curb or a large pothole.
IF my assumsion are right, a picture of a broken rota doesn't mean anything does it?
Come on, none of you see a broken mugen? spoon? volks?
They are pretty good built for that price, don't knock on them just because you see a picture of a broken rims

There's some owners around here that would smear dog shit on their car if Japanese people were doing it across the Pacific.
When did s2000's become Ferraris? They are a cheap roadster with mediocre power and above average handling. The bottom line is Volk, Work, and BBS look good in your sig. To a majority of the owners here, that is all they care about.

He was in an accident when they broke
Countless stories and pics? You won't post links or evidence because you don't have any. To my knowledge, they had one run of bad wheels which they turned around and stood behind, and that was about 3 years ago.
You know what makes me LOL? These interW3b geek "ballers" who drop $3k on wheels and then proceed to wrap them in the shittiest tires possible. I see it all the time. For the same budget, Rotas with the best possible tires will do a lot more for you than Volk/BBS/whatever with shit rubber. Unless your goal is to have other spikey-hair zit-face forum bois polish your e-knob, in which case be my guest
Bottom line is, never tell someone else how to spend their money. You don't see any of the Rota clan bugging you for spending you parent's hard earned/your school loan on JDM dubs, so kindly feck off and live and let live. Speaking for myself, spending good money on bling wheels is #1,000,001 on my priority list.

apparently u dont even own an s2k, so why are u commenting??
what i am saying is that its a goddamn s2000, not a ferrari
u dont have to get $3,000 rims for this car to look nice
i'll say it again....
just because someone has an s2000, doesnt mean they have to piss money into the world

You don't have to own an S2000 to be an enthusiast, but just because you own an S2000 doesn't mean you are an S2000 enthusiast.
and to the person who said that Rotas are inspired by other companies, haha, inspired is a nice way to put it.
you say you don't have to get $3000 rims for this car to look nice, you don't have to buy any rims for this car to look nice actually, and apparently you don't really read anyone elses posts, unless it is following your own opinion.
so you don't have to buy $3000 rims for this car to look nice, you just have to pretend that you bought $3000 rims for this car to look nice? hmm...
