Very interesting idea. I think on paper, it sounds pretty good, but I just don't know how it would look in person...

Personally, I like the Spoon top as 1 whole line and cutting it in the "middle" creating that line would make the car look less clean... Of course, that is just visualizing it...

I say if you have the time and money, give it a shot. Not everyone will like the idea, but we need more people like you, innovating and doing crazy stuff. The only bad idea is no idea at all. If you keep trying something, you will get somewhere one day. You never know.

Do it! But make it a t top so you can still latch it to the front wind shield. And will help keep it structualy sound. Look at c3 corvette for this type of t top solution. Best of both worlds for the win, would look better with mugen rep or oem.

I kinda like it. Best of both worlds. Don't know how you'd logistically keep the targa part on there though. You'd probably need some structural bracing in the rear of the top.
