That may speak for the reputation of Rota, but Joey do you understand that offset has absolutely nothing to do with ride height? The only part of the wheel that affects ride height is.... the diameter! The tire size and suspension can also affect height. That is why a 215-40-18 or 225-40-18 will have the desired effect; as it has been stated previously.
I am sure the OP and owner of these replica wheels was aware that Rota doesn't have a blemishless reputation and that weighed in on his decision. Regardless, he made that choice to buy them, so don't beat a dead horse. Besides, I bet that if he didn't say they were replicas, he would fool a good number of people on this forum.
Lol, you are right about one thing astig2k : the internet is about opinion and expressing it. You just need to find a way to communicate your opinion that is in good taste. There is no reason that you should have made e-nemies when you have only been here for 21 days. Dark Sub Rosa is a fine poster and moderator; I have not had problems with him in the time that I have been here. I am sure many other members and guests would say the same thing. Do you own a S2000? If not, you may not be qualified to even say what does or does not work on our cars.
true words bro... ill just drop this. esracer: im not trying to bag on the rims, just trying to speak my experience on them. im not saying i dont like the rims, i mean just saying that i been there and done that. not trying to make enemies... btw, heres my s2k... you can click on the photo to enlarge it.

friends bro.

You need to do something about that front wheel gap stat. Maybe its just the lighting, cant truely tell...
I think the front tire gap has to do with two things.
1) His tire size, 35
2) The way he is parked, front is at a downward slope...I think this is caused with the e-brake pulled.

The wheels look good on the car though.

Ok, I understand that this "Joey" guy is a hated and previously banned member of the site.

But what he's saying does hold a bit of truth. An improper offset would push the overall wheel/tire setup further out from the hub (or centerline of the vehicle, however you want to think about it)

Because of this, you'd need to raise the car a bit to prevent rubbing. He's saying if the offset had been more appropriate, the wheel would be more inboard, and the car could be lowered a bit more without rubbing.

He's not saying offset has anything to do with height, he's identifying a secondary effect. Don't be so quick to hop on his nuts, he's right.

Additionally, the wheels look really nice. Good choice. Will they enlarge your bench racing penis? No. But they won't lighten your wallet either, and I don't know how many time attacks you were actually planning on entering. you should be fine.
