Thanks guys. Yeah its totaled. my motor is actually pushed in and the mounts and mest up haha. the frame is all bent. but my question is to you guys that have been in this situation... whats the most i should go when insurance offers to sell it to me... this is my first accident.. lol

I'd say if you have the stock parts then swap them out with your aftermarket parts.

Salvage value can range from $2,000 to $6,000 depending on the condition of the car before & after the accident, also a Salvage title will affect buy back price as well as what the insurance company will pay out.

Which insurance company is the other driver with?

If the motor was pushed back, we don't know what kind of damage there is to it or the transmission. If you are going to buy it back, I would not spend more than $1,000.

As far as this sort of situation goes, it is really hard to do, but just slam on the brakes, and don't steer. The only reason to swerve is if you already know that there is no one on either side of you, no pedestrians, and nothing to hit. As it was said above, if you don't hit him, it is hard to prove that it was his fault unless there is video, someone saw it, or he is a nice guy.

Plus, it's safer for you. Cars were designed to crash into other cars, not trees...
