ehh... dunno bout that, it seems a bit wide. I ran a 9.5 +44 and it already stuck out of the fender. I don't see how it could stick out another 1/4" without rubbing? mind you, I also have rolled fenders, shaved inner fender lip, and relocated tabs, and I still rubbed on semi-stretched tires. I don't see how you can really fit anything wider.. I thought my 9.5 +44 was already pushing it.
did you have the 9.5 +40's maybe???? or have they changed sizes recently? that 5mm would come close to counter acting the 1/4 inch of the 10" wheel!!!

well volk did change their sizing because 2006 and earlier the 9.5 +42 was a concave face and cleared bbk...i know this because a good friend of mine has this spec wheel on his rx7 and my 9.5+40 has some concave but not like that of BSeriouS

what I want to know is.... and maybe someone can figure this out?

so comparing the 10 inch wheel at +45 and lets say only a 9 inch wheel at +22

the 10 inch wheel will stick out 1/2 inch more than the 9 inch wheel of the SAME offset right???

so, that said..... take that 1/2 inch which equals 12.7mm and subtract that from 23 leaves you with basically 10mm more room to the fender!!!

I guess I just answered my own question then. the outer lip on the 10" +45 would sit 10.3mm closer to the car than the 9" +22

alright guys... i'm doing some quick calculations in my head and can somebody please confirm my math......

so... I want the 10" +45's

to find out in millimeters the room needed over the standard 9" +63 offset you would..

1) add 1/2 inch which is 12.7mm
2) add 18mm (the difference of 63 and 45)

which equals 30.7mm (which after looking at the amount of gap I have with my current +63 set-up, looks very doable.

comparing the 10" +45 with the 9"+35 (which I previously wanted)

1) simply the difference of 63 and 35 which is 28mm.

summary... 10" +45 isnt that crazy... almost the same as 9" +35

all of this doesnt take into consideration bbk's.... only addresses rubbing issues!!!

I had a set of works in 17x9.5 +44 and I am running 17x9 +35 right now.. however, with the 17x9 +35, it sticks out of the fender quite a bit, hence, I have raised the car to compensate... if you are lowered, it would be pretty difficult to run this size and offset. Mind you, I am also running a 245 series tire on my 17x9 +35 with -3.3

Ah. The throw back thread lol. The equivalent from a 10 +45 to a 9 inch wheel is a 9 +33. From that to an 8" wheel, the equivalent would be an 8 +21, which can also be the equivalent to 9.5 +39. With all these Specs posted above, they will sit exactly in the same spot regardless of width. Meaning, distance from fender to hub. It can be safe to say that finding the "right" spec, you may need something a little more aggressive or equal to then the posted specs above

Here: This is a 9.5 +44 I was running on my previous set which I indeed had some nice pokeage here. The equivalent would technically be a 9 +38. I am however, rub free

*Disclaimer: I will not be responsible for wrong specs chosen lol*

Juntuned, you are right, a 9" wheel with +22 offset, the wheel will stick out 10.3mm further than a 10" wheel with +45 offset.

that is correct sir. My spec is currently a 17x9 +35 and like I stated before, I had to raise the car significantly to make these fit.. also, I forgot to throw in, I am at -3.3
