You'll be surprised at how quick some hit and run drivers get away even with a damaged vehicle. I was involved in a 4 car accident and when the 3 of us who were hit went to get our info, the one who caused the accident some how pushed his car away from the scene. even with gas leaking and air bags deployed.

 

it happened super quick, i heard the sound walk out 5 min later. the car was gone. my neighbor saw it but couldn't make out the plates.
i love the S. honestly aside from the lack of space, to me the car was awesome.
i might just get a BRZ. Anyway enough bitching. i hope to one day get another.

I had a bike totaled out and insurance paid the going market rate for the bike. Blue book was lower but average selling price online was the amount I received.

If they see that other ones in similar condition to yours are worth over 20 then that's what they have to give you. They hire people for that stuff

 

If they gave anything above 17k. f@#k it I'm buying another one. That would be my third one. straight commitment right there.

I had a similar case where the insurance wasn't giving me fair value to replace it but after I did not except their offer I was able to get an additional 4k on top of their original one. I made a big deal about finding another gpw in the same condition as mine and it worked. Best of luck

 

don't take what they offer. Tell them you want fair market value. You should get paid average market for your area with milage taken into account.
