Default Some flying pics

Just thought I'd share with some S2k buddies. We took the Cessna 182 out to Ocean City, MD for some crab cakes. It was a great flight. It was my first time flying the 182 and it was fast and had no problems with 4 people. Lots of un. The 2nd set of pics is from a Cessna 152 that we an early morning flight in. Enjoy the pics.

What is the cruising speed on the 182? I always fly a piper warrior down here in Atl. and was looking at getting into another aircraft. Although, I am not big on the high wings. I have not flown one yet, but just something about them. Although they do have there advantages and dis ya know.

135-140 Knots. The 182 is a fantastic cross country aircraft (particularily compared to the venerable 172) with great ROC performance. The PA-28's are also great aircraft, my favorite's are the turbocharged Arrow III/IV's.

I fly a warrior or archer as well. I have flown a 150 and 152 but I prefer the low wings. However, the high wing is much better for for look-down arial photography.

Pics look very good...

The plane in picture #2 is the same as what I skydive from.

So far I have made 14 jumps! It's the best adrenaline rush in the world

Here is a picture of me coming in for a landing......

I have 90% of my time in Warriors. I love low wings. We flew the 182 because it has more pep and seats 4 comfortably. We were chugging at a good 135 knots with 4 people. The plane handles great and is very easy to fly. Earlier in the day I flew in a Mooney as well. I never liked these planes because the looks, but boy is it fast. The plane was incredible and I have a new found respect for them. It was just as fast as the 182 and had alot less HP. Here is a pic of the Mooney

Oh I love the Mooneys. There is one over here at another flight school across the field and it can be rented. The only negative thing that I hear about them is that they are not very forgiving on landings. If you hit the runway with even just a little crab that could put too much load on the gear. Not saying that I can't put it down straight How much diffrent was the Mooney compared to the warrior? The mooney rents for about $120 wet at KLZU.
