Default Sparking Rotors

Just noticed at this last autox that my rotors were sparking. I've also had friends tell me that my rotors have been glowing purple shortly after my runs. This is surprising to me since I'm just running Hawk HP+ pads and everything else is stock. I'm still wondering when I'm going to crack my first set of rotors

On a side note: this is my first autox in nine months and is the first time in my two years of autox'ing the S that I felt like I was driving it at the limit properly. I've always had some sort of phobia about giving throttle throughout the turn, but out of nowhere I've developed a newfound confidence that allowed me to maintain throttle through turns and see that, if applied properly, does not always result in uncontrollable oversteer like I had feared before. Anyway, enjoy the video!

You may need to watch in 720p to see sparks.

I've experienced similar phenomenon at autocross events with the HP+ pads. They seem to be able to produce some serious friction. No one ever said anything about sparks, but they would definitely discolor the rotors and boil fluid if I was able to get in 3+ back-to-back runs on a course with a hard braking zone or two.

Haha yeah, I'm glad I have ATE Superblue and SS lines. I have only gotten my brakes to fade at one autocross where we had a small turnout and were able to do back to back runs. Not fun. It seems like they're only sparking whenever I engage ABS, which can be pretty often depending on the course. I'm trying to train myself to not rely on ABS though. I'd much rather have a controlled braking foot that allows me to brake efficiently on my own.
