Spoilers
Technically they don't use the same holes, they share 2 of the 4 but either way you get left with holes in the trunk unless you got lucky and someone didn't drill the middle ones.
So if it were installed correctly, no you can't go from one to the other in that case.

I just would be pissed if I was trying to find out what spoiler I could buy that fit those same holes then bought one, pulled off my oem only to find out that there are holes that aren't used by the new spoiler and you have to plug them or get bodywork done.

Sorry but that is incorrect information. The holes for the AP1 OEM spoiler and the newer AP2 DO NOT use the same holes. Please don't tell people this because they will end up with extra holes in their trunk if they try to go from the AP2 to the AP1. I did this on my old 04 I had and there are two holes that are more toward the front of the car that need to be filled if you go from the AP2 to AP1 style spoiler.
Also the AP1 spoiler uses bolt holes in the middle too if memory serves me correct so either way you go you end up with holes in the trunk. I could be wrong on this part since it's been about 2 years since I installed it.
