Its not the "need" its the ability...I rather have an over engineered part that I have no doubt will never fail under the stress I will be putting it though, then have a part that might fail...or could fail. But that's just me. As mentioned before, there was that video of the STI with APR wing that had a failure during a track session...any failure or change in aerodynamics on the track could be catastrophic.

The static R2 (as shown) is $1,699. The Dynamic R2 is $3,500.

The wing is shown under 860lbs of weight. Our high downforce blade hits that at 200-220 mph (depending on the install height). Modified GT-R's hit this speed - which is why we engineered that much strength into the blade.

I want to add that a rigid item directs forces better than one that has a lot of flex. For example, the rigid chassis allows the suspension to do its job better than a less rigid chassis. This wing is full of win though it'll be nice to know what the drag force is vs. wing angle and produced downforce.
