Like these guys said the JDM bumper beam is lower profile. Japan doesn't have the same crash protection standards as the US. I would think that it would be just as easy to remove it. It looks like you are getting a cage and I would assume harnesses too. If someone hits you on the road the bumper isn't going to save you from much. It only absorbs low low speed impact and either way your bumper is going to be ruined. But that is just my .02

I would leave the crash bar on for safety puposes.

Off-topic: Not sure if you already know, but it seems like you have your rear wheel mounted on the wrong side because the tread pattern is going in the opposite direction. Just thought I would point that out just incase you didn't know

Leave the bar. Paint it black, problem solved. See that was easy.

Just paint the bumper reinforcement flat black you're done...I know it may be appealing to see the chassis underneath the mesh, but in this case I think safety would be more appealing overall...

Paint the crash bar flat black. I would NOT remove it unless you want to get crashed and burnt to death if some asshole rear ends you, and you and I both know there are plenty of asshole drivers in Miami.

Nice bumper BTW.

i've got an extra rear bumper beam (the one you're referring to) for sale. just in case you didn't want to paint your stock one, you could use this one and paint it. if you'd like it, let me know.

i'm in georgia, so shipping won't be much at all.

You may have a legal problem also. If you get in an accident, and your/their insurance co. find out that you removed the bumper, they may refuse to pay for any damages - even if it wasn't your fault. Also, it may lead to other vehicle inspections to make sure you completely comply with all state laws. This is a worst case senario - be careful.
