I wouldn't necessarily call it rice, but they were definitely better stock.

I believe it is rice and I'll explain to you why it is rice:
My definition of a ricer is basically a person who will spend whatever little amount of money he/she has on making it seem as though whatever car he/she owns (unfortunately, usually a Honda) looks faster than it really is.
You painted your rims the color of Time Attack wheels in order to make your S2000 standout, even though you've admitted that you do not have the money for a new set of rims. That alone sets you out on the verge of becoming a ricer. No offense to you, good sir, but the Honda S2000 in stock form already looks fast, so there is no point in ricing out the car to make others believe you own a faster car than you originally do.
I am certain you will later post that you were not attempting to make your car look faster and that you just wanted to make your car look better.. Umm... That is another form of "ricer".

For some reason you think I am trying to 'trick' people into thinking I have some high end set of wheels on my car? I recall I did say this in the original post.
"I'm not trying to fool people into thinking my wheels are Volks or anything, just wanted to have some fun with a limited amount of money ($10)."
Just wanted to have some fun with my car, and I succeeded. I think it looks pretty cool, so I'm gonna leave the look until they fall off, I sell the car soon, or if I decide to keep it and paint the wheels back to silver.

I have the same set up long time ago.

What did you use for the red stripe?
first of all, this is FAR from being labeled a ricer. nor is it in itself "rice".
the rest of you guys are being assholes. if he sprayed his AP2 V2 rims any color you'd all say it looks great.
he was just trying something out on his OEM wheels, and it didnt turn out all that bad.
personally, i don't like it... but its not too shabby of a job so if you like it then keep it. i'd recommend bronze on silverstone. that would look very good.

Thanks for your input. It's not a matter of making the car look 'faster', thats just a silly idea. How would a red stripe make the car look faster? And yes I did want to make the car look 'better,' and IMO it does look better. I much prefer this look over the all black wheel look.
