OMG!!...They figure gravity will hold the amp down, so they put the screws around the amp to keep it from shifting side to side....I bet that's wat they thought...
They didn't mount it...they stabilized it...

How did they do on the speakers? did you check that out?

Hey, I thought that was my trunk there for a second! I refuse to buy anything from circuit city involving car audio ever again. My car was there for a total of 9 hours over 2 days. It didn't work a week after I got it, I finally gave up and did it all myself.

those kind of big companies hire the worst people. I was shopping and saw best buys garage for installs. OMG! you should of seen it, it was pathetic. Garbage laying around bunch of kids sitting around bumping music while sitting in someones car doing some kind of install. I felt sorry for those that would get there work done there. Big companies dont give a rats ass about the consumer, except the money they are handed. Hire the most inexperienced employees so they can pay the lowest price they can. Frys is the worst of all.

So now that you have seen the pics, any advice on it, since they refuse to replace the trunk parts? Even the heads or corporate have sided with them.

best i can think of is to keep pushing. BBB local news and whatever else you can think of. theres no way in hell thats a "professional" installation. ive been doing mobile electronics for about 8 years now and ive never done anything even close to that on my worst day and in a crappy old car. you have the pics to back it up. take em to court. theres no way you wont get the damages repaired. make sure to get some opinions and written statements from real shops to further prove that that job is downright horrid.

p.s. whats worse is i was turned down by circuit city for a job installing(when i had about 5 years exp.) simply due to a credit check. talk about priorities.

Wow. Sorry that happened to you, but you went into it expecting to be treated professionally by a major corporation and instead got shafted. It's not your fault so don't be hard on yourself. This site (and most others of its ilk) is full of Monday morning quarterbacks who enjoy telling others how they NEVER make mistakes of any kind, that you deserve to suffer, etc., etc.

My advice is to take your car to a bodyshop, repair it "good as new" and file an action against the defilers in small claims court. Document EVERYTHING, charge for the time that you spend in dealing with all of this, and when you get to court be polite, concise, and appropriately aggrieved. You might not win 100% of your claim, but you will be compensated for their carelessness.

As for Circuit City, don't think for a moment that the piggies at the top of its corporate trough aren't aware of what's being written on this board. (Kinda makes me want to go buy some of their cheap-ass consumer crap and then return it so they have to mark it down.)
