UPS lost the glass for my hardtop. Finally got my replacement yesterday!
Shout out to Ballade Sports. They sent our a replacement immediately when UPS lost it. No questions asked. Couldn't have asked for better service, and the quality is great.
But I remember when I got my mugen rep hardtop with the acrylic window, they had a thin protective film on the back window on the outside which I think is to just give it a light layer of protection when in transport or pre-install, that's what I think is what is showing in the picture by OP.

Oh! I see what you're saying now. No, there is no gap. They painted a strip of black for some reason. I assumed it was so when I tinted that you wouldn't see the edge.
