materials are cheap.
6000sq/ft for $500. (thats 9 year outdoor quality)
thats flat black, gloss black, neon green, an entire spectrum.
very durable. easy to repair.

i think that 6000sq/ft should be enough and then some for repairs.

$5000 for that bulletproof car is ABSURDLY high.

i worked at a vinyl shop as a designer/installer for a long time... install is tedious around corners, but anyone with 1/2 a brain should be able to pull it off in a day. i'd be willing to help anyone local. i've done full cars in 4 hours. (2 man team)

i've done flat black outlines around chrome flames, wrapped all over on some sportbike.
if my goofy ass hold down a job doing it and can wrap chrome, anyone of you should be able to do regular flat black.

i can't think of anyone who sells wider than 48" rolls offhand... but the price i gave is for 48" x 50 yards. the biggest they sell. i assume you'd need less than that, but i'm not about to do math.

again- pm me if you want to do this. i'm 100% down.
i also have a plotter, if anything needs to be cut.

i didn't do these, but here are some pics:

out of curiosity...would these vinyl wraps protect the paint or are they used with some kind of adhesive that can damage the paint in the long run? how long do they typically last?

if your paint is in perfect shape, you probably won't have any issues, and different materials last different lengths of time. most of the stuff used is warranted for 5 years.

paint that's over plastic parts, such as the bumper, stands a very good chance of being pulled off when the vinyl is removed

the vinyl i mentioned above has a 9 year life.
i'd use 9, and replace it after 5 years. any longer, depending on how you store your car, the vinyl begins to get hard, and thats when removing the glue is a real bitch.
otherwise, once you remove it, get some 'oilflow' from home depot, and the glue comes right off.

thickness varies, 1.2 to 2 mm. that'll do a damn good job of protecting your paint.
seams aren't that big of a deal. do you notice the seams on your a pillar? didn't think so.
