i think its based on the VR6. Its a very narrow V6.

Yes it's based on two VR6 engines (a shape of V, but so narrow that you can still think it's a R6 - has greater balance thanks to that), put together in a shape of W. You can find this 6.0 litre engine on cars like VW Phaeton or better yet Bentley Continental GT. There is a bigger brother of it - the mighty 1001 HP W16 that you can find on Bugatti Veyron. Shweet.

Thats what I would think, but the vr6 motors are at a very close angle.
