Seems like they cut the center, and welded it to the barrel, simular to how cpr's and what not are made? I think this would look very good if the face was stripped down and polished, the polish lip + gun metal face looks cheap, but it could still be under contruction. seems like it would be a good way to salvage rims that are bent beyond repair, cracked etc. a friend of mines is attempting something similar to this with a pair of broken rims as we speak. its cool if you have access to the machines and what not or work at a wheel shop. so you can play around with ideas like this.
