Who's Crashed S2K
I'm not saying the rollbar is going to make the car LESS safe. I'm just saying they aren't certified for track use for a reason.
It does look like they helped Lee, but I can't tell for certain - pictures are small, blurry, and don't show different angles.
But, you can't say the stock window frame and OEM roll bars failed, either...
I didn't know he crashed.
But wow, we've gone off topic. To each their own on modifications!

Lee was wise to have a roll bar and not a roll cage for his street car. Had he had a cusco cage in that car is head would have taken a potentially fatal beating on the way down.
On another note, the roll bar did do its job.

^ good point.
The guy 2 posts up reiterates my point for me that for mods to be approved, they requires $. Note he didn't say "roll bars/cages are cool!", he said "cusco cages are awesome!"... why not a custom fabbed, welded, and frame-bolted cage made by an engineer? oh, that's right... it's cheap and isn't blue. But hey, looks the same and does the same job... Just like vented hoods.

Really, I didn't have any emotion invested into this discussion.
Afterall, that's what it was.. a discussion.
My panties weren't twisted.

FTR, Lee's car did not roll over when he went off and he did suffer a head injury (concussion) from hitting his head on his roll bar.
