Don't think I want to hit my head on a roll bar.

OEM vented hoods are HOT FTR - and I don't have one.... yet

Also, the Cusco cage is... meh, very out of place in a convertible. But to the guy who brought it all up, I love the Meisters and the Veilside underwings. Probably my next setup.. on the better platform of course (AP2) (figure since we're O/T we might as well start ANOTHER debate LOL)

he did suffer a head injury (concussion) from hitting his head on his roll bar.
From my understanding he was wearing his seatbelt and he did not have a 6pt cage. If i recall correctly he had a 4pt Safety 21. So i fail to see how he cold have hit his head. I mean your gotta be tall as hell to manage that. But hey what do i know i could be wrong.

Lee was wearing his seatbelt, but when the car left the road he must come out of his seat and banged his head on the roll bar. From where the car landed and where it went off was around 40-50ft down the embankment.

Not sure which bar he had, but this a pic...

I'm not saying the rollbar is going to make the car LESS safe. I'm just saying they aren't certified for track use for a reason.
In the USA... were we are sue happy.

why not a custom fabbed, welded, and frame-bolted cage made by an engineer?
Because most roll cage builders are engineers? I highly doubt it. Most are just fabricators taking educated guesses.

Okay... but what about an engineer who does put thought into it? Welded, bolted, mandrel bent, quality parts, etc... but no logo. Wouldn't be nearly as cool. Think about Codys from LoveFab.
You missed my point.
