I regret it....makes the car look "taller" .... oh well

Taking the tape off EMPHASIZES the worst line of the car... that upright, no-rake-havin'-rock chip collectin' windshield...

that's exactly it! i couldn't pinpoint it before, but it seems like the car is lower with the tape on.

damm! it's gonna cost at least $100 bucks for the oem tape, plus a lot of experimenting on how to put it back. anyone with any experience on how to fully expose the windshield frame?

It might be easier just to have it painted.

The painted frame brings your eye upwards - making the car look taller...

And yes... I have too much time on my hands AND am obsessed with my car.

Nope, took mine off and I love it. I thought the tape made it look cheap and unfinished. Looked like the windshield was an afterthought and just slapped on. The body color around the windshield frame makes it look like part of the car instead of just tacked on. IMHO.

I personally think that makes the car look very cheap( having it black instead of the color of the car.) Look at the NSX it ued to have a black roof till they releazed it looked cheap....color matching rocks!

I like black better. If I were to get a HT (which I will), I would get a black one or cf. I like that contrasting roof look...

No big deal. If you dont like it off then get it put back on. I removed mine then wanted it back on, cost of about $50. Then I got my hardtop and will never put it back on. Makes the car look terrible with the hardtop on. Plus IMO the hardtop completes the car. Let me know if you need help with this.
