If it was a Rota, the entire hub would have exploded.


+1 to the "every wheel will break under the right conditions" argument, though it's funny how many people judge quality by price alone.

Talking to the guys at Kinesis and HRE they said that they had issues with wheels that were getting powdercoated.

I guess that during the powdercoating process, while the wheels were being baked, something was softening the forge on the aluminum and that is why they were having issues like this. As far as they knew they hadn't had any wheel failures like this on anything that wasn't powdercoated.

Any wheel can crack if you hit a curb badly.

I bet thsi wheel didnt break by itself.

Talking to a professional race team they are saying wheels cracking or breaking is normal in race environment.

They use BBS and OZ , similar breaking rate.

BBS isused the most here in Europe as Porsches are used a lot in racing and they all run on BBS (Le Mans wheels mostly)
