can u put it inside the car? where ur vin is? just tape the plate there or something? i never got hassled and i live in socal =P

that is actually still illegal, it needs to be on the bumper i think.

Nay. Having it on the side dangling like that looks cheesy.

I'd having it off or leave it on the stock mount holes - does covering that little bit up affect that much in the cooling performance of the FMIC?

Creative. Leave it in the center if you must have it on. One reason I love Delaware. No front plates.
