S2000 Soto... he said he's a clean freak but a lazy a$$ as well, so i guess this is his best solution
as for blue s2k...
why do you scrape those?
my cars lowered and i don't even scrape my flaps that are in front of the tires... so why on earth would you ever scrape those????
and no, i'm not surrounded by ONLY flat roads where i live!

really high speed bumps (as those in the local mall parking lot) and steep driveways (like the one at that acura dealership) , my flaps scrape those.

also, these flaps are closer to the ground then those little flaps in the front of the car.........

Are they pretty light weight. Quick install. Some of the event sites around here are old pavement and really chip the life out of your paint.

i have those massive bumps too (at malls, and at supermarkets MOSTLY) however i just approach them by turning the wheel and stuff and basically entering the bump and leaving it from an angle... to avoid the scrape. not that those flaps infront of the tires are a big deal to me, i just don't want them ugly looking!

and are you sure your mud flaps are closer to the ground than those little flaps in the front of the car?
i kinda doubt that but i could be wrong? considering ours attach below the car, it only makes sense to me that those are LOWER and not the mud flaps, but i dunno.

Not a stupid question

They are there for aerodynamics; they divert air around the tires and wheelwells to help keep the airflow under the car clean.

they are pretty light. not hard rubber, they are somewhat on the soft side.

the installation was pretty easy, nothing crazy. i just use 1 factory screw and factory hole for now. i will eventually use 2 more self-taping screw to secure them down.

While at Willow Springs a well-seasoned looking race driver was admiring the car and asked me if these were custom installed. When I said they were stock, he said it was a smart design by Honda for directing airflow to the front brake rotors for cooling. Sounds reasonable to me, and and another hint that this car's home is the track.
