Default 2004 Radio door problem

I installed the 2004 radio door, but when I press the door it won't go down, it'll just sit there. But when I move it about 25% down more it'll slowly move all the way down. Any tips? Thanks.

The spring on the back isn't set right, what brings it down the rest of the way once past the "25%" mark is just gravity, simply the weight of the door forcing it down. I also had the same problem. If you can pull out a friends door housing (not door) and see how the spring is set this will help!

And this didn't happen with your previous radio door?

It's pretty normal for the radio door to get stuck when cold.

a metal coat hanger bro. straighten it out, and snip the end with a good pair of pliers. Make sure the tip of it is smooth so it glides the pins out from the inside out.
