When the car is cold the radio door has problems opening automatically...that may be your problem.

There is a long side and a short side to the spring. Put the long side agaist the radio side of the housing and put the other side agaist the door. BTW, only put in the right retainer in until you figure out if the door is closing right. Good luck.

I think it is the spring though, because it is incredibly easy to close compared to my stock door. It feels like i can sneeze and it would have enough force to close the door.

I think I might have figured it out. Since I broke my stock door/vent pieces I might have lost the spring. Since I had to transfer a bunch of pieces to the new vent piece the spring must have been a piece I needed from my old one. I guess it's time to stop by honda again. That make sense to anyone?

agree

I had several e-mail me about this as well as I have sold them on ebay .... I will point them to this thread

I bought the spring from honda but I still have no idea how to install it. Can someone help with a pic?

Tough to describe but there is a mechanism on the side of the door that this slides over, the spring ends must be lined up with the plastic properly or the door will not work correctly.
