You need new rails anyway to mount the seat. You can lower a good 2" with a fixed side mount bucket and rail. This has been covered a lot, recommend looking through the "official aftermarket seat" thread in the gallery.

I'm 6'6" and like everyone, I found the stock seats were too high. I've got Buddyclub P1 fixed buckets on superlow rails and it's definitely one of the best mods I've done to the car. I've got my butt sitting as low as i can get the seat to go and it feels a ton better.

You'll feel much more comfortable in the car with the reduction in seat height!

Bucket and low rails was the best modification I have done to the car hands down. I can actually see the road now and am not sliding around holding on to the steering wheel. Plus the stock seats are uncomfortable

In the meantime, try adjusting the seat bottom two notches forward from all the way back, and then recline the seatback all the way.
