Default Advice for fitting gauges into my dash

Picked up some nice gauges for my Turbo setup. I wanna fit them into the dash itself by cutting holes into the dash. But before i satrt cutting wanted to know if anyone here has done it before and any advice would be welcome please. Im concerned there may be something behind the areas i cut into as well. Thanks

depends on where your cutting but most of the dash is empty space. if you search in the gallery a few people have done it already. My advice would be to use a hole saw and to measure 3 times before you do it. Once you're in there, there is no turning back. Also remember you can make a small hole bigger but u cant make a big hole smaller.

I did 4 in my dash...came out great...there are a couple things to consider when doing it (wiring harness behind the dash, and where to position the holes)...it really depends on how many hole you wanna make...basically the center of the dash is pretty safe...the closer you get to the passenger vent the tougher it gets (there are some thicker moldings and supporting pieces there)

best thing to do (as I was advised on here and ended up doing) is to pull the passenger airbag and have a look inside the dash...it's you best access point...I know it's scary to think about for a noob but you just unplug your battery and wait 30 min just to play it safe, disconnet the yellow plug under the dash (passenger side under the fake glovebox cover), and unbolt the airbag from that same location...takes a little prying but the cover comes off w/the airbag as they are attacked (don to try to separate them)...and then you have clear path for doing a reconaissance mission in there lol

go slow and it'll be fine...and from what I remember whatever the diameter of the gauge shaft is, is the diameter whole saw bit you need but hopefully somebody can confirm (did this like 2+ years ago)...but one step at a time...I can try to shoot a few pics for you
