Hey guys

I recently took my car interior apart to install a new stereo. For some reason I cannot get the screw that holds the cups behind the interior latch to take.

I tried ordering new screws and I have the same result, It threads just fine but it seems the screw is too long? Anyone have any issues with this or happen to know the thread pitch / size?

 

They are short screws, so they don't need to turn very much when installed. Chances are someone put in the wrong screw, they are a specific size length despite having the same thread as other interior screws.
